Newtons First Law of Motion

Newtons First Law of Motion is "an object in motion will stay in motion unless acted on by an outside force". This is sometimes referred to the "the law of inertia". An example of it is if a car is driving and the car veers off and hits a wall. The car was stopped by the wall so it is no longer moving. This law also deals with kinetic and potential energy. The kinetic energy is when the object is moving. The potential energy is the stationary object. You can predict the behavior of moving objects and stationary objects. These objects wont stop unless they are hit by a force like; gravity, a wall, another car, etc. There will be different reactions each time. For example, if a car hits a bush then the push will probably fly apart and get destroyed but if a car hits a wall then the wall will maybe have a dent and a scratch depending on what the wall is made out of.
